Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by an Egypt Nile Travel representative who will help with arrival and visa procedures. Meet your Egyptologist guide outside the terminal to begin your 6-day Christmas tour featuring the Pyramids and a Nile cruise. Enjoy a guided visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, where your guide explains how and why these monuments were built and shares the secrets behind them. Transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan to begin the most scenic part of your 6-day Christmas tour—a 3-night Nile cruise sailing from Aswan to Luxor. Upon arrival in Aswan, meet your guide outside the terminal to start your sightseeing.

Visit the Aswan High Dam, built in the 1960s to control flooding and produce electricity, then take a motorboat to the beautiful Philae Temple, a Ptolemaic-era sanctuary relocated by UNESCO. Continue to the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk before transferring to your Nile cruise ship. Overnight on board in Aswan.

An optional visit to a Nubian Village is available.

Enjoy a relaxed morning on board your Nile cruise, with time to admire the river views, unwind on the sundeck, or swim in the pool. For those seeking adventure, an optional excursion to the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples is available.

Later, the cruise sails to Kom Ombo, where you visit the unique temple dedicated to Horus and Sobek, followed by a short stop at the Crocodile Museum. Return to your cruise ship and continue sailing toward Edfu, where you will spend the night.

Before or after breakfast, enjoy a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the best-preserved temple in Egypt and dating back to the Greco-Roman period. After the visit, return to your cruise ship and sail toward Luxor, passing through the Lock of Esna.

Upon arrival in Luxor, explore the vast Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt, followed by the majestic Luxor Temple, connected to Karnak by the restored Avenue of Sphinxes. Both temples were dedicated to the Theban Triad—Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Overnight on board in Luxor.

After breakfast, disembark from the cruise to explore Luxor’s West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings, home to around 65 royal tombs, with your guide recommending the best three open to visitors. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt independently for nearly 20 years, then stop at the Colossi of Memnon, remnants of Pharaoh Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple.
