After this, your next stop will be the heights of the Citadel of Saladin, which is the last fortress so far standing and telling the story of all the brave battles and whispered conspiracies within. Explore Cairo's horizon, with bustling streets and ancient minarets sprawled beneath you.

Go to Khan El-Khalili after enjoying a good lunch at a local restaurant and then get absorbed in the rhythmic pulse of the city. At the end of the day, you will return back to your hotel in Cairo.

Start your solar eclipse tour to Alexandria, that ancient Greco-Roman-Egyptian capital celebrated by history and legend. Visit the Roman Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an ancient Egyptian-Roman cemetery. Originally a private tomb, it later transformed into a public cemetery, housing over 300 tombs that offer a fascinating glimpse into Alexandria's rich history.

Then ascend to the memory of Pompey's Pillar, a massive monument encircled by remnants of forgotten temples, and proceed to visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, a powerful castle protecting Egypt's north shore. Make your way to the Abu Serga Church, situated deep in the walls of the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon in present-day Old Cairo. According to legend, the Holy Family drew water from a well on the property, hence the most popular pilgrim site of Egyptian Coptic churches. You will then visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, Egypt's largest and most important synagogue. Because it reveals Egypt's Jewish heritage, this synagogue—named after the renowned Jewish Rabbi Ezra the Scribe—is of particular significance in Cairo's religious landscape.
