Early breakfast in the hotel before flying to Aswan to begin your 3-night Easter Nile River Cruise from Aswan to Luxor, which is the most beautiful part of your 7-day Easter holiday in Egypt. Your first stop will be at the High Dam, a dam built in the 1960s to generate hydroelectricity and to stop floods. Then take a motorboat to explore the Temple of Philae, which was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and is one of the most incredible temples in Egypt. It was due to the construction of the two dams in Aswan that UNESCO had to relocate the temple. Before breakfast, you will take a horse-drawn carriage to visit Edfu’s Temple of Horus, which was built during the Greco-Roman era and is the most intact temple in Egypt. Afterward the cruise will sail from Edfu via the Lock of Esna on its way to Luxor. Once you reach Luxor, you will have the chance to see the largest temple in Egypt, the Temple of Karnak, built by several pharaohs in ancient times, as well as the majestic Temple of Luxor, which is connected to Karnak by the ceremonial Sphinxes Avenue.
