Visit Pompey’s Pillar, the ancient Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa, and the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a tribute to the legendary ancient library. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before returning to Cairo in the evening.

Today, explore the renowned Egyptian Museum in downtown Cairo, home to thousands of artifacts spanning all periods of ancient Egyptian history, including the remarkable treasures of King Tutankhamun. Continue to the historic Citadel of Saladin, a medieval fortress overlooking the city.

Conclude your tour at the famous Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, the largest and most vibrant market in the Middle East, known for its spices, perfumes, handicrafts, leather goods, and traditional souvenirs.

Drive approximately four hours to Luxor to begin your Nile River cruise with Egypt Nile Travel. Upon arrival, board your cruise ship and enjoy lunch on board.

In the afternoon, explore Luxor’s East Bank, visiting the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex and the elegant Luxor Temple, both dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.

Return to the cruise ship for dinner and an overnight stay in Luxor.

Continue to the remarkable Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, uniquely built on three terraces against the cliffs of Deir El-Bahari, showcasing the legacy of one of Egypt’s most powerful female rulers. Conclude with a photo stop at the impressive Colossi of Memnon, the giant statues of Amenhotep III.

Return to your cruise ship and sail toward Edfu via the Esna Lock. Overnight on board in Edfu.

This morning, take a horse-drawn carriage to visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. It is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and dates back to the Graeco-Roman period.

Return to your Nile cruise and sail to Kom Ombo to explore the unique Kom Ombo Temple, shared by two deities—Horus and the crocodile god Sobek. After the visit, continue sailing south to Aswan.

Today, discover the highlights of Aswan with Egypt Nile Travel. Begin at the Granite Quarry, home to the famous Unfinished Obelisk, where you will learn about the ancient techniques used to carve massive monuments from a single block of stone.
